Beginning next week I will ask each of my interns to bring in 6-8 recordings--songs and instrumentals they think would fit in with my folk programming.
They will play the song and explain what they like about it---and why it should be included within my eclectic folk format. In essence I'll be interviewing my interns about their personal musical favorites. All of my interns are young--no one is over 24.
We start next Sunday with my senior intern, Eric Schuman, a freshman in Temple University's Communications School. (He's the guy who turned me on to DeVotchka a few months ago.)
